How to Find Your Kill Count
Before you submit your KC, you'll need to know your Gemstone Crab kill count. There are two easy ways to find it, pick whichever suits you.
Option 1 · RuneLite plugin
Install the free Gemstone Crab plugin to see your total KC on screen. Best for an accurate, always-visible count.
Option 2 · Game chat
No plugin? Your KC is announced in the chat box after every kill, on any client.
Option 1 — The Gemstone Crab RuneLite plugin
If you play on RuneLite, the easiest option is the free Gemstone Crab plugin from the Plugin Hub. It keeps a running total of your kills, so you always know your exact count.
- 1Open RuneLite and click the wrench icon (Configuration) at the top of the side panel.
- 2Scroll to the bottom of the plugin list, open the Plugin Hub, and search for “Gemstone Crab”.
- 3Click Install on the Gemstone Crab plugin (the all-in-one AFK plugin shown below).
- 4The plugin now tracks your kills and shows your total kill count on screen while you fight the crab.

Option 2 — Read it from the game chat
Don't have the plugin? No problem. Every time the crab is killed, the game posts a message in your chat box:
[Gemstone Crab] Gemstone Crab Killed! KC: 185
The number after “KC:” is your total Gemstone Crab kill count. Just read the most recent message to get your current number.

You can't open the settings interface while in combat.
