How to Get Verified on the Gemstone Crab KC Leaderboard
How our verified Gemstone Crab kill-count leaderboard works: what to include in your screenshot, account types explained, and a step-by-step submission walkthrough.
Grinding the Gemstone Crab is satisfying on its own, but it is even better when your kills are recognised. Our community keeps a verified leaderboard of the highest Gemstone Crab kill counts in Old School RuneScape, and this guide explains exactly how to get your name on it.
If you are still building your kill count, our AFK training guide and gear guide will help you rack them up faster.
Why a verified leaderboard?
Anyone can claim a big number. What makes our leaderboard worth trusting is that every entry is checked by a human before it goes live. That keeps the rankings honest and means a top spot actually reflects real effort. You can read our full process on the verification page.
What you need in your screenshot
The single most important step is a clear screenshot. For a smooth approval, make sure the image plainly shows:
- Your character name, so we can match the submission to an account.
- Your Gemstone Crab kill count, clearly legible.
- Your account type icon (standard, Ironman, or Hardcore Ironman) next to your name.
A full, unedited screenshot is best. Avoid heavy cropping that removes your name or the kill-count interface, and do not obscure the account-type icon, since that determines which board you land on.
Account types explained
We rank three categories so you compete against similar accounts:
- Main: standard accounts, shown on the All Accounts board.
- Ironman: self-sufficient accounts, shown on the Ironman board.
- Hardcore Ironman: one-life ironmen, shown on the Hardcore board.
When you submit, you will select your account type, and the screenshot lets us confirm it. Getting this right means your kill count is compared fairly against your peers.
Step by step: submitting your KC
- Head to the submit page and sign in (or create a free account).
- Enter your kill count and, if different from your login name, your RuneScape name.
- Choose your account type: Main, Ironman, or Hardcore Ironman.
- Upload your screenshot showing name, kill count, and account-type icon.
- Submit, and you are done. Your entry enters the review queue.
How review works
An admin compares your screenshot against the details you entered. If everything lines up, your kill count is approved and appears on the leaderboard, and if it beats your previous best it becomes your new record. If something is unclear, the submission may be denied with a short reason so you know exactly what to fix. The specifics live on the verification page.
Tips to avoid a denied submission
- Make sure the kill count and character name are readable; blurry or cropped shots are the top reason for denials.
- Keep the account-type icon visible so we can place you on the correct board.
- Submit an unedited screenshot; obvious edits will be rejected.
- Double-check you selected the matching account type in the form.
Climbing the ranks
Once verified, you can keep submitting as your kill count grows; each approved record updates your position. Check the main leaderboard to size up the players above you and set your next target. With the crab's near-infinite uptime, catching them is just a matter of time in the rainforest.
